I don't understand, how I don't understand
London.
She felt like a sad story. A story where the protagonist would try to fit in, only to feel more left out. And it would turn out that the sad story would be of many words, and too many chapters. The story would be read by many, but never understood by any. Written intricate and confusing so that the reader would cry at odd places, not sure why the story was sad. The antagonist would tell her she was interesting and write about her. And she would listen, but never learn.
det er kaldt.

"O. my England my new found land.
She embarked on a tranced voyage, exploring
the whole of herself, clambering her own
mountain ranges, penetrating the moist
richness of her secret valleys."
The combination of nudity, flowers and text made me want to create something strange and beautiful of my own.
I dragged him outside yesterday, just because I needed to use my camera again. Its been lying inside my closet for way too long.
"Everyone has a relationship to film. We start watching movies as children and most people have strong relationships to particular movies. Some movies impact so many people, that they are called classics and even if we haven?t seen them, we are most likely to have heard of them. By using film as an underlying idea, we will create something more than just portraits. We will create a relation for the viewer to a particular movie, and by this evoke a feeling or a relationship between the image and the viewer."
This was the intro of our project description for our main assignment at Bilder Nordic School of Photography. I did the assignment as a collaboration with Julianne Leikanger, and the images above is a small selection of my favorites from the full series.

As I mentioned before, I brought my box with me on our road trip, and this is one of the images I took while we were at this beautiful, little place where we found a beach with preserved rocks.

Two photographers. One car. No GPS. A lot of chocolate. And of course our cameras.
We decided to explore Norway and I can't even tell you how lucky we were. Our country is beautiful and the weather was too good to be true. There will be more blog posts from this trip. I promise <3
shot by my grandfather
edited by me
A couple of months ago I found hours of film shot by my grandfather. Since I was little I've travelled a lot around the world, but never been particularly interested in exploring Norway. After seeing all the film shot by my grandfather, where a lot of it takes place in Norway, I suddenly had the urge to see more of my home country. So now I am on the road with my best friend, stopping almost too frequently to shoot all the beautiful places we see.
About a week ago I met Sofie. She lives close to where I'm from so I brought her to the beautiful places I have been driving past for years, but never stopped to actually shoot. She was truly fascinating and inspiring, telling me how she shoots her self-portraits and that she likes to create music, and she is only fourteen years old!
I finally got out to continue on this project a couple of days ago. See the full series on my website.
Last fall I started a project where I photographed girls experiencing the stage of development designated between childhood and adolescence. I don't think I've ever posted all the pictures, so now as I am in the process of continuing this project I thought it was a good time to share all the pictures with you.
